I've been watching all the razzmatazz re vapfeast and have found myself strangely attractred.
I'm normally quite insuylar and tend to keep my self to myself IRL..

Due to my own persoinal brand of BS i sometimes find it hard to be around people. I do better with folk I know cos they've had a chance to meet me if that makes sense.

I've beem watching the vapefest website and thinking it would be nice to attend and maybe ,meet some of the filk I've spoken to here on UKV. Trouble is, I'm quite the sociphobe when it comes to it. and I'm wondering to myself if i might turn up for the evnt and then spend the time sat in ahotel scared to it..

dont get me wrong... I can put on a performance but I often feel uncmfortable if i'm on my own. I havent booked a hotel as yt but was toying with coming down for friday,stoping fri andn sat for vapefest.
if thjeres anyone who wouln;t be embarrased to be beseen in my companyu then I'd like to be able to try and mmet up with some fellow vapers if anyone is going to be there on thr fr8.

A lot of people will be in the same boat as you in that they're going to vapefest on their own, myself included.

I agree it does seem daunting going to something like this on your own, but a lot of us will be feeling exactly the same mate. It seems to me though that everyone on here is friendly and helpful and we all have one thing in common that we'll be able to talk to strangers about.

There's a thread on here about where people will be on the Friday night before. You should check that out. It's always easier to talk to people when you've had a few. Lol!

I agree Stalker, it seems like a lot of us are quite shy in the flesh, but we are all so drawn to meet likeminded people that vapefest is kind of pushing us to get over it! I know I am scared, but I am coming anyway as I don't want to miss out! Too often in life do people let their hangups stop them enjoying things to the full, so good on us all for getting our arses in gear and coming down!!

I can only third that,im coming up on the Fri staying til Sunday.Think there is a meet up in the PLOUGH on Fri nite,will have to check the threads........generally we all have something in common.....Vaping.....,that should be the ice breaker as it were.From what i have read, there gona be quite a few of us newbs at this VF,so dont worry,just hope that theres enough corners.LOL......

I went on my own to last years event and didn't know anyone. But actually I did! Weirdly, for a forum, everyone was more or less exactly as they were in real life as they were on the forum. Sure some of them were younger or older than I had imagined, some were fatter or thinner, some were shorter or taller, some were balder or hairier - but they were the same people.

When I went in I didn't know anyone but it didn't take me long to realise that actually... I did!

I am envious of all of you going as, having been a veteran of one and a half Vapefests, I know you will have a great time.

hi, i too myself do not know anyone on this forum on a personal level but i think the idea of vapers being able to get together and show off all their bits and bobs is chuffing great. i do not get the chance to get out much as i work long shifts and have a young family so i booked a room for vapefest a while back as it was something to look foward to. i like the simple things in life and when it comes to vaping i also keep it simple as i tend to use tanks and a screwdriver mk1 all the time , i am looking foward to being able to relax for a change and meet folks that i actually share something in common with and have a shandy or two in the process . cheers jonboy

Personally I can't wait! I think it will be a great experience for us all, despite the nervy butterflies in my belly! I have no doubt people will be welcoming, and we should have a day to remember!

Sobered up now thankfully.... had a banging head next day and resolved to never drink again (til next time anyway)

I took the plunge and booked a couple of nights at Premier Inn (central one)... going down on Fri and leaving Sun. So if anyone's around and on the Fri and sees an ugly, fat tranny sucking on a walkie talkie, chances are it'll be me... say hello or give me a wide berth.... wide berth might be advisable if I end up as drunk as the other night.

It will be fine folks.
I am a nervous person and had a moment of panic before walking through the door last year.
But the welcome from all inside was great and warming.

Spent a while with Jaded who put my nerves at rest with just a friendly chat.
And TBH that is it in a nut shell.

The thing is Vapefest is about like minded folks in a room with beer from 12.
What could go wrong, lol
