Had a really good time today at Vapefest. I don't know how many were there but next year will need a bigger venue.

It was good to put faces to names and best of all to spend the day vaping my head off in public without feeling self concious as everyone around me was vaping too.

Like most folks who were there I've not been vaping for that long and have only got an EGo (or two) and the real reason I went there apart from the social aspect was to have a look at some mods and have a go at a variable volt one or two.

Considering the number of vendors who were supporting Vapefest only a few had stalls and were showing off their wares.

So thank you to all the very kind people who had the tricky mods who allowed themselves to be ambushed and let me have a go of them.

No-one I met all day was standoffish in any way and were happy to give me a demo of their own personal mod and let me pull them apart put them back together and have a vape of them.

It's clear that there is a vaping community in the real world and not just on the internet and the people involved are very friendly.

To the UK distributors of the

Provari
Darwin
Silver Bullet
Cube

and all the others

WHERE WERE YOU?!

All you needed was a table, 5 devices for people to try and a box behind you with 100 of them in. You'd have sold every single one and had orders for another 100 by the time you got home.

You really missed a trick........

Apart from being an Ego Maniac I got me a Silver Bullet a Du Bocage a Lava Tube and a Trio Box mod. Oh and my Dad's got a Mikro Pipe Shameless web link http://www.fleetvision.co.uk/

Tricky i wanted to be there but had other commitments and it's a long way from Thailand.
I hope to be at the next one with more products to show. I did donate a cube for the raffle and i now thinking about it i could have sent some cubes to a friend so people could try them.

Deffo next time and from what i'm reading it was a blast.

Perhaps it was the crowd around my table ogling the new Super-T Precises that obscured you, Toby. ;)
I am a vendor, but I am also a vaper and enjoy taking part in the community. My post is an attempt to help out or answer a question or take part in a conversation and constitutes my own opinion only. I may post in topics that interest me, when questions are asked DIRECTLY about products I stock, or have used, or when my company is mentioned. I apologise in advance if any post I ever make or have made on this or any other forum is misconstrued as spam, and all readers should be aware that there are other vendors available who may or may not offer similar products.

Another here who had a great day out :)
Nice to meet you all and happy to have offered up my Provari, RTA and Bulli for those who wanted to try out. Let's be right, kit of the likes being toted and toked today is an investment and nice for those considering them to have a chance to try out in such a relaxed environment rather than parting with cash, only to find it's not for them. Someone, somewhere today had pretty much every mod going and not once did I see anyone being snotty about allowing anyone to try things out and helping out the newbie vapers.
My day?
Tried a mod or two out, tried lots of juice.
My bad......coming home with 4 bottles of pink spot juice :o
In fact, prolly came home with enough juice in general to last me till next ice age.
Lost a set of bloody good tweezers ('red' stamped on em) and a clear glass driptip. If anyone found either, please send them home :(
Carvery was lush. Complements to the chef.
Bar extension was cool, thanks to the lovely staff.
We invented the vapers equivalent of 'Russian roulette' with harlequins Juice and gradually increased voltages :D...... No mods were harmed, but a Boge carto will need counselling for post-traumatic stress disorder ;)
All in all, fab day!

Fantastic day, met some great people. It was too busy for us to leave our pitch though and we didn't get a chance to meet other vendors which was a huge shame... Next year though!

Make a weekend of it next time ;)
Fair to say a seriously good time was had by all WELL into the night and a vendors time to chill and mingle, or like Daz, sell someone stuff at 1am in the morning (the Beauways are very good btw buddy!).
.....and Mr ECW, two words: Pink spot!!!! I appear to now be a pink spot junkie :o....What flavour exactly IS G spot?? Why the hell is it purple? :D

Had a great time - fantastic day! Also, seriously chuffed with my raffle prizes - 500ml of various liquids, which as relative newbies is ideal for us - I'm like a kid in a sweet shop here! Also a tank system which I am yet to try out, but will have a go this morning.

Thanks to everyone involved in arranging this. Congrats to everyone!

Proud to say I sold a black chrome SB to someone world famous (who's name begins with R and ends in Gate).

Tricky, the SBs were right behind the guy with the mask in this photo you took (plus a whole assortment of rare and wonderful cartos... :))

I got a couple of fuzzy cell phone pics I'll upload later (but they do convey well the atmosphere of the event).

I had a great time - so good to meet so many of the forum members (and have a "bonding session" with Hil and Lil - shame there was no Phil ;) ). What really impressed me was how friendly everyone was....

Big congratulations to everyone who organised the event - you should be feeling well chuffed :)

T'was great to meet you both (and 'Lucky Dave' K! :laugh2: ) and those few others I caught up with. So many I didn't get to have a chat with, though. Maybe next year - make it a full weekend event at a bigger venue, I think.
NEC, perhaps?

Hi Toby

I did see you with your table stacked high with carto's which was probably a very good idea, lots of people were trying out juices and I'm sure you did very well out of it.

I've got no problem risking £7.00 on a pack of carto's as a punt on an internet buy however when it comes to the more expensive kit (like the silver bullet) I'd like to try before I buy.

This was your one opportunity of the year to give people that chance

I think the effort of lugging what looked like your entire stock inventory up the stairs to the room certainly paid off for you, looks like you had a great day and it will have won you a great many new customers in the future I'm sure.

Sure Vapefest is a great social event but also the public are looking for vendors to put on a show.

And that doesn't mean just a stall full of gear (although for a lot of vendors who supported the event but didn't even bother to do that it would have been a start)

Out of all the stands that were there I was most impressed by ROK and I'd never even heard of them before the show.

When I arrived at their stall they handed me a disposable drip tip and then gave me a demo of their ecig then let me have a go (an actual vape with a device with a charged battery and juice) of not 1 but 5 of their ecigs with different juices in them.

From what they were saying customs had delayed their shipment of kit for the show so they didn't have any to sell but they weren't going to let the opportunity of Vapefest pass them over for a whole year so then ran a competition to win one and gathered everyone's email address.

I'd have bought one of their kits on the day if they'd had any, I'll probably buy one when they email me later.
I would never have considered buying a ROK ecig kit before the show, I'd never even heard of them.
It's not a revolutionary bit of kit, It's not mega shiny BUT

I know it works. How?

Because I got to have a go with 5 of them.

You could have fitted what they took to Vapefest in a small hatchback but I'll bet they sell more product off the back of Vapefest than all the other vendors who were there because of the way they presented themselves.
Apart from being an Ego Maniac I got me a Silver Bullet a Du Bocage a Lava Tube and a Trio Box mod. Oh and my Dad's got a Mikro Pipe Shameless web link http://www.fleetvision.co.uk/

Great day, and yes you will definitely need a bigger room next year!

And thanks to Digisatman for letting me play with his toys.

Also i was nice to meet the VTTV crew in person although for some reason they seem a lot shorter in real life
